The short answer: chat tools such as ChatGPT are great for a single comic-style picture or a quick idea. A finished comic book is a different job: 26 pages, the same person on every page, a story written from what you tell us, lettered pages, and a person checking every page before it is sent. If you want a gift they can read cover to cover, that is what Hero & Ink makes.
When a chat tool is the right pick
- You want one comic-style picture of someone, today.
- You want to play with an idea, a costume or a cover concept.
- You are happy to write the story, the panels and the speech bubbles yourself.
What a finished comic book adds
- 26 pages: a cover, a dedication page, 22 story pages, an epilogue and a back cover, with more than 50 panels.
- One likeness, all the way through: the person you choose, drawn from your photos, on every page.
- A story written for them: built from the details you give us, such as how you met, the inside jokes, their city and the habit everyone teases them about.
- Lettered pages: speech bubbles, captions and sound effects, laid out like a printed comic.
- A person checks every page before it is sent.
- Ready to give: a high-resolution PDF, typically the same day, always within 24 hours. $49 USD.
- No risk: one free revision, and a full refund within 14 days.
