Refund Policy

Effective date: June 3, 2026

The short version

If you're not happy with your comic, we'll either fix it for free or refund you. You have 14 days from delivery to ask. We answer every email within one business day.

1. Free revision (most issues land here)

Each comic includes one complimentary revision. If something about the result doesn't feel right - a face that doesn't look like the recipient, a tone that misses, a specific page you'd like adjusted - email us within 14 days of delivery with your order ID and what you'd like changed. We'll regenerate or edit the specific elements and re-deliver, usually within 24-48 hours and at no additional charge.

Most concerns are resolved this way without a refund. Comics are art, and small adjustments make a big difference.

2. Full refund

If the comic doesn't work for you after the free revision - or if you'd rather refund than revise - you may request a full refund within 14 days of original delivery. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.

3. What's not refundable

The following are not eligible for refund:

  • Requests made more than 14 days after the original delivery.
  • Orders cancelled by us due to a Terms of Service violation (e.g., uploaded photos of someone without their consent). These will be refunded if we cancel before delivery; not refunded if we discover the violation after delivery.
  • Customer change-of-mind on the recipient name, city, or core story details AFTER the comic has been delivered. We'll still do our best to help via revision; outright refund is not guaranteed.

Note: Printed editions are coming soon, including Standard Print and Premium Hardcover options. When they launch, a separate policy will apply to printed copies because they are custom made-to-order through a print-on-demand partner.

4. How to request a refund or revision

Email support@heroandink.com with:

  • Your order ID (from the confirmation email).
  • A short description of what you'd like changed or why you'd like a refund.

We aim to respond within one business day and resolve all refund/revision requests within 5-10 business days.

5. Questions

We'd rather get a comic right than refund one. If something is off, please tell us - we'll do our best to make it right.
