Refund Policy

1. Free revision (most issues land here)

Each comic includes one complimentary revision. If something about the result doesn't feel right - a face that doesn't look like the recipient, a tone that misses, a specific page you'd like adjusted - email us within 14 days of delivery with your order ID and what you'd like changed. We'll regenerate or edit the specific elements and re-deliver, usually within 24-48 hours and at no additional charge.

Most concerns are resolved this way without a refund. Comics are art, and small adjustments make a big difference.

2. Full refund

If the comic doesn't work for you after the free revision - or if you'd rather refund than revise - you may request a full refund within 14 days of original delivery. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.

3. What's not refundable

The following are not eligible for refund:

• Requests made more than 14 days after the original delivery.
• Orders cancelled by us due to a Terms of Service violation (e.g., uploaded photos of someone without their consent). These will be refunded if we cancel before delivery; not refunded if we discover the violation after delivery.
• Customer change-of-mind on the recipient name, city, or core story details AFTER the comic has been delivered. We'll still do our best to help via revision; outright refund is not guaranteed.
• Printed books after they have gone to print, except as described in section 4.

4. Printed books

Every printed book is made for one person, so printed books follow these rules:

• You approve first. When your comic is ready, we email it to you with an Approve and print button. If you would like changes, reply before approving and we will use your free revision. If we don't hear from you within 3 days (24 hours for orders placed December 1 to 4), we print it as delivered.
• Before printing, you can cancel and receive a full refund of what you paid.
• After printing. We can't take back or refund a printed book because of a change of mind. Refunds after printing cover only the cases below.
• Damaged, misprinted or lost. If your book arrives damaged, has a printing fault, is not as described, or has not arrived 10 days after the estimated delivery date, email support@heroandink.com within 30 days with your order number and, if you can, a photo of the problem. We will print and send a new copy free of charge, or, if a new copy can't put it right, refund what you paid for the printed book. You don't need to send the book back.
• Wrong address. Please check the shipping address at checkout. If a book goes to the address you gave us and is lost or returned because that address was wrong, we can send a new copy for the reprint price of $40 USD.
• Faster shipping. If you paid for faster shipping and your book arrives later than its faster estimate because of us or our printer, we refund the faster-shipping charge.

In some countries, including the United Kingdom, the law gives you 14 days to cancel most online purchases. That right does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, so it does not cover a printed comic once it has been made. Our 14-day refund on the digital comic is unaffected, and so are your rights if a book arrives faulty or not as described.

This is our limited warranty for printed books. It does not reduce any rights you have under the law where you live.

5. How to request a refund or revision

Email support@heroandink.com with:

• Your order ID (from the confirmation email).
• A short description of what you'd like changed or why you'd like a refund.

We aim to respond within one business day and resolve all refund/revision requests within 5-10 business days.

We'd rather get a comic right than refund one. If something is off, please tell us - we'll do our best to make it right.
